I agree! Am only buying PSA 9's right now, 10's are too expensive and illiquid. 9's have lots of liquidity and can be 1/3 of the price of a 10, and checking pop reports they're still pretty damn hard to hit.
Graded cards are generally worth more than their counterparts that aren't graded because graded cards have been examined, authenticated, and assigned a condition by an expert. Thus, a card deemed to be gem mint is going to be valued higher than one that looks mint in "raw" condition. This makes sense. Condition is one factor thatUnpopular Opinion: PSA 9's should hold more value. I bought a PSA 9 the other day, and it came in the mail, and oh my god, literally, I couldn't fault this card; even the centring looks fantastic, if I got this card raw, I would be over the moon. It feels like 10 is this elite level of perfection that can sometimes be unattainable to view from.
